Argyll & Bute

Argyll & Bute is the highland area north-west of Glasgow. Although dominated by high mountains, including several Munros, it also has a sylvan characteristic that is largely absent from Highland Region further north. Large towns are few, but Oban is a magnet for visitors travelling to the Hebrides.
