A Home County north-west of London. Chiltern Hills occupy the southern part where it is more heavily populated. Ridgeway Trail runs along the crest of the hills beyond which is the Vale of Aylesbury. The county is a link between the Midlands and the Thames basin with the river its southern boundary.
