Monmouthshire

Monmouthshire is another Welsh county that has seen considerable change in respect of its name. For many years it was regarded as an English county, transferring to Wales and called Gwent. Today the former name has been re-established but as a Welsh county. Much of the county features the Black Mountains, part of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
