Perth & Kinross

The county straddles the A9 main road to Inverness, the River Tay and its tributaries being its natural highway. Mostly mountainous, but Munros are few, it is graced by several lochs; Tay, Rannoch and Tummel being particularly well known. North of Pitlochry, the main road makes its way to Blair Atholl via the Pass of Killiecrankie. Perth is the main town of the region.
